South Dakota Tea Party Summit
The South Dakota Tea Party Alliance will host The 2010 South Dakota Tea Party Summit in late September or early October for like-minded groups all across South Dakota. There will be no charge, and all conservative, freedom-loving, limited-government groups in South Dakota are invited!
The event will be held in central South Dakota, and will be designed to enhance communication and cooperation in the final stretch before the November Elections. Full participation by all groups present is welcomed and encouraged.
2010 Tea Party Summit speakers will include award-winning Journalist, Conservative Talk Show Host and Patriot Shad Olson. Olson will offer sessions on effectively communicating the conservative message and a special workshop on handling the liberal media. Conservative political guru Zach Lautenschlager will offer inside information on how to build successful conservative organizations and a session on how to defeat leftist politicians. Lautenschlager has worked in South Dakota politics for more than ten years, run multiple campaigns and helped defeat numerous left-leaning candidates in South Dakota. Co-founder of SDTPA Bob Ellis has more than a decade of experience in internet and database programming, and will feature a workshop on how Tea Party groups can build a do-it-yourself website in just a few hours that is functional and attractive. More featured presentations will be added to the agenda as they are locked in.
The event is tentatively scheduled for either Saturday September 25 or Saturday October 2, centrally located in Chamberlain, South Dakota.
Bill Nachatilo of the Northern Hills Patriots in Spearfish has expressed his support for this event, adding that it is very important for our groups to work together for maximum effect. John Perry of the Newell Tea Party and Joyce Peterson of the Lemmon, South Dakota Tea Party group have confirmed their interest and hope to participate.
Other groups around South Dakota will be contacted soon regarding the event, so expect group leaders and other patriots from around the state to join together at the 2010 South Dakota Tea Party Summit.
More information about the summit will be announced at the first general meeting of the South Dakota Tea Party Alliance Saturday Aug. 21 at 7:00 pm in the Lincoln Room at the Ramkota in Rapid City.
